Cheap, good, dark, waterproof ink. The packaging is another story– I have to be very careful with cleaning the threads of this bottle with pen cleaner every so often, else the ink crusts up and I have to put a lot of elbow grease into getting the bottle back open again. It also has a tendency to leak in comparison to my other ink bottles.

The classic - good for practice ink when you just need a bottle near by to doodle - Memories of younger days when other brands were not easily available as they are today. Still has the classic "stink" but works well enough for many projects - so nice to have a bottle with an assortment of others :)

Works well with a 70s era Richter drafting pen (adjustable tines). Sometimes hard to get the inkflow started but I've had no stutter. I have used it on fairly cheap paper without issues.

Everyone else has said what's necessary - it's cheap and dark. Gets the job done.
I just CANNOT figure out why the bottle leaks when I travel. Also the ink dries up on the lid a lot so it can be hard to open it back up.

I tried to use this with a kolinsky brush for inking lineart - it works well, but WASH THE BRUSH before the ink starts drawing. Because it's waterproof, it will dry solid on your brush and won't "reactivate" and wash away once dry.

Works beautifully with any dip nibs. If you run your fingers over the writing after it dries, it's kind of textured.
