The fine tip started fraying and tearing, so my letters looked very strange. Also, I've only used it for about a month now (and not consistently) and the pen is already dry/out of ink. I know its not because I left the cap open because I am very careful about that.

Hey I was reading some of the review about the tips fraying and it's super important that you guys only use these pens with smooth paper such as (rhodia or premium HP printer paper) If you use these on watercolor paper like so many do (including myself), you have to expect the tip to fray somewhat quickly! Just a heads up!

Tombow's are excellent! The brush tip is large and flexible. It frays if you use it frequently and not carefully, but that's totally fine. If you're looking to do thin linework, look elsewhere!

Good pen. I love the thicker side of the pen much better but the smaller tip is good for detailing. Very large pen compared to the pentel brush pen I purchased.

i decided to purchase because of the many that have this product/recommend it. overall this pen is super nice but the tip begins to fray super quickly and maybe it's because i'm using it wrong :( i'm still a beginner at calligraphy too!
