This paper is wonderful for pen and pencil, and works with watercolors once you figure out how to use them on it. The surface is heavily sized, so if you use a lot of water, it'll sit on (or run off) the page. But, even with a lot of water the paper buckles very little and there is no bleed-through/ghosting. With less water you can easily paint on it, but many colors will quickly stain the surface. With practice I've come to love it with watercolors; I adored it from the beginning for pen and pencil.

This paper is super thick! Great for watercoloring. I can't wait to use it a lot!

Amazing for pencil, not great with fountain pens using flex nibs. It feathers heavily. Really good with felt tips though.

This can even take watercolor!

Pleasantly surprised at how nice this paper is. The paper has a nice weight for drawing in the Traveler's Notebook, and obscures the knot on the back cover better than the normal weight Refills do. Perforated pages is a nice touch that adds to the flexibility of this refill.

Great for sketching/drawing on.
